Cookie Policy
What our cookies do, why they're there and how to switch them off. Short version: we use as few as a working website allows. Last updated September 2026.

What cookies we use
Cookies are small text files your browser saves. Ours fall into three piles: essential cookies that keep the site working (the banner that remembers your choice), preference cookies that store settings like dismissed banners, and lightweight analytics that tell us which pages travellers actually read.
Nothing here follows you around the internet. We don't run advertising trackers, retargeting pixels or anything that would make us blush in this paragraph.

The three types, explained
Essential — required for the site to function: your cookie-banner choice (stored as a simple yes/no), form security, load balancing. These can't be switched off without breaking the site.
Preferences — remember small comforts, like a dismissed notice staying dismissed. Handy, harmless, optional.
Analytics — anonymous page-view counts that help us spot which destinations and journeys people love. No names, no emails, no cross-site tracking. Declining keeps the site identical — we just see a little less.

Managing your cookies
The banner on our homepage gives a straight Accept / Decline choice — no dark patterns, no "manage 400 partners" labyrinth. Change your mind any time by clearing site data in your browser; the banner returns on your next visit.
Every modern browser also lets you block or delete cookies entirely. Ours won't hold a grudge — the site keeps working either way.

Third parties & updates
Two external services touch this site: Google Maps on our contact page (which may set its own cookies when you interact with the embed) and our font/CDN providers, which don't track you. Their own policies apply inside their embeds.
If we ever add a new cookie type, this page changes first and the banner asks again. We version this policy by date so you can see when it last moved.
